Palestine Polytechnic University Holds a Workshop on "Electronic services for scientific research" within PaLib project.

22/12/2021 Palestine Polytechnic University held a workshop on “Electronic services of scientific research” as part of series of local training workshops organinsed by the co-funded project “Palestinian Research and Library Platform (PALIB)”.
The workshop which held virtually aimed to transfer the know-how that was received during the projects’ mission to EU partner institutions last October 2021.
With the presence of representatives of PaLib partners and number of researchers and academic staff from local and regional universities, the workshop was opened by the project coordinator at PPU, Dr. Mohammad Abu Taha, who welcomed the attendees and presented a brief introducing on PaLib project and its objectives to serve the research sector through the optimal use of technology. Abu Taha explained the importance of the project to serve Palestinian researchers, enhance scientific research and improve its quality through modern technological means.

A specialized sessions were held by the Director of the Electronic Library, Professor Mohammad Abu Hamdiya, presenting the state of the art technology and tools that integrated in scientific research field, such as the scientific repository, electronic databases, and the most important scientific journals indexed within the Scopus database and the Web of Science database. In addition to other topics of interest to researchers that aims to improve the quality of scientific research.

 

Finally, and during an open discussion, the participants in the workshop highlighted their points of view and recommendation on the discussed topics.
