On Wednesday 24 June 2020, PALIB project conducted a steering committee meeting to oversight studying the local needs of digital libraries and scientific research.

PALIB coordinator, Dr. Ahmed AlDahdooh started the meeting with welcoming the participants and highlighting the achievement in developing digital libraries and scientific research questionnaires. The participants engaged into an active discussion on the feedback, Data collection, Analysis of the questionnaires’ results, etc.)

Andres Pacheco (UCAM) and Anna Tozzi (UNIVAQ) as responsible for developing the questionnaires outlined the mechanism applied in developing and production of the questionnaires where the first one was directed to address the digital library services in terms of need analysis of the current status (WP1) and rules, regulations, and articles for digital library (WP2). The second questionnaire addressed scientific research services in terms of need analysis of the current status (WP1) and rules, regulations, and articles for scientific research services (WP2).

Imad Braik (ANNU), Waheeb Sherif and Mohammed Abu Hamdieh (PPU) delivered their comments and suggestions on the developed questionnaires for digital library and research portals.

AlDahdooh emphasized on the community role in adopting the outcomes of PALIB project on the digital libraries and research repositories.

After delivering the approved promotional materials of PALIB project to the partners. Mr. Hatem Sultan the financial Officer at UCAS advised the partners to start distributing the promotional materials to related stakeholders especially during the visit to the national universities.
